Labour and Welfare

The success of Pacific Textiles is attributed to the efforts of our employees. We have been providing competitive remuneration packages, a favorable working environment and continuous employee trainings etc. to enhance their welfare and labor interests.

COMMUNITY
  1. Job Opportunity, Employee Trainings and Welfare

    We actively provide job opportunities for the communities and helps students develop their careers, through a series of programs and trainings; Employees’ welfare is also one of our priorities.

    1. Implementing the ‘’National Dewdrop Project’’ since 2018, collaborated with Guangzhou Vocational School of Textile and Garment, to provide internships and economic assistance to students, along with a living subsidy of RMB10,000 for each student per year.
    2. Sponsoring universities (e.g. Henan Polytechnic University in Vietnam) to hold recruitment fairs.

    3. Routinely providing internal trainings on necessary skills to employees, such as management training, first-aid and fire drill training as well as training seminars for trainees. Rewards were also presented to excellent staff to recognize their outstanding performance.







    4. Holding various competitions in Panyu factory in order to encourage staff’s participation in factory improvement as well as skill enhancement, e.g. Kaizen competition, cooking contest of canteen staff, and forklift skill competition for warehouse staff.



    5. Holding leisure activities or competitions to Panyu staff, such as team building activities, staff birthday parties, tug of war, basketball game, badminton competition etc.







    6. Giving away moon cakes for all employees and holding lucky draw to welcome the new year in PCTL
  2. Caring and Improving living conditions for the underprivileged

    Pacific Textiles attaches great importance to the well-being of different stakeholders in the regions and hopes to share the economic achievement with them. Therefore; we have been assisting in improving the living conditions of the community.

    1. Paying visits to TongXing Village in China and giving away red pockets to the seniors;

      Donating money and materials as well as offering gifts to impoverished residents in both China and VN;

      Donating bed sheet, blanket to Lai Vu Commune Primary School in VN.






    2. Donating RMB300,000 for the purpose of greening work, garbage classification and construction of fire roads to improve the living conditions in Tongxing Village, China;

      Donating trash cans to Dai Dun Commune in Vietnam.








    3. Donating money and materials for community building

      Holding cooking contest to celebrate Vietnamese women's day;

      and holding ‘’cheongsam’’ competition in the International Women’s Day in China.




  3. Educational Assistance and School Building

    Pacific Textiles strives to improve the learning environment for children and students from families with financial difficulties and continues to provide financial support for building schools and offering scholarships.

    1. Funding children from povertystricken households for education and school uniforms.
    2. Providing awards and scholarships to outstanding students in Tongxing Village in China and in Lai Vu Commune in Vietnam.

    3. Funding for the building of a kindergarten, a primary school and a secondary school in Vietnam from 2018-2020

  4. Fighting against novel coronavirus

    Since the outbreak of novel coronavirus, we have been actively assisting in fighting against the epidemic and protecting the health of the society.

    1. In Jun 2021, Pacific Textiles donated US$10,000 to support a senior union in Vietnam to purchase vaccines for the community;

      And both in 2021-22, Pacific Textiles sponsored the Anti-Coronavirus Fund in Vietnam;

      In Mar 2020, we donated HKD 2,521,000 to support pandemic prevention work in mainland China to facilitate its early recovery


COMPLIANCE

Pacific Textiles always adheres to the strictest business ethics standards, abides by the principles of compliant operations.

We have established a complete corporate governance structure to monitor the overall operational risks and internal control system. The introduction of ‘’Code of Conduct’’ also serves as a behavioral guidance for employees when performing their duties.
